Bulova 2YC-23 AM/SW 7-Transistor Radio (1959) Bulova 2YC-23 AM/SW 7-Transistor Radio (1959).   The very first radio I bought was one identical to this; that was in 1959. Cost me $60, which was a lot for a high school student back then (I lost it along the way). I bought this as a memento, and it works on AM using internal antenna, but needs a whip or wire antenna for SW. Tuning is "scratchy" at places; would benefit from a tuneup. It is missing the leather case, whip antenna and nut at the antenna port. Has what looks like a cigarette burn near the antenna port. I found another with the case and antenna and had it rebuilt, so this is an extra. I think it is a rare radio. Except for the burn is in excellent condition and quite heavy. Nice chrome front. Uses four "AA" batteries. 6"W x 3-1/4"H x 1-5/8"D.  Phil Bartells.   E-mail: pbartells@verizon.net  $59.95.  (ends 11/23/2018)  (0000098)

Firestone 4A78 (1950) Firestone 4A78 (1950).   Here we have "family"...another one of those "Twin Sons Of Different Mothers!" Anyway, it has been electronically reconditioned and aligned with new paper and electrolytic capacitors and all out of tolerance resistors were replaced. The five tubes are strong. Plays good! MESCO 113 Giant Sounder MESCO 113 Giant Sounder.   This is a 19th Century Mesco 113 20-Ohm telegraph sounder (receiver). I did restore this sounder to working condition. I was not able to determine the exact year of manufacturer, but believe it to be in late 1800's. This is known as the Giant 20 ohm sounder. It was manufactured by Manhattan Electrical Supply Co. in New York. It also was known as a telegraph receiver. There is a lot of real history here from the early railroad days. You add a battery and a telegraph key, and you can send Manual Morse code to this receiver. This was communications at its best until the 1920's. Motorola 5P23E-1 Roto-Tenna Motorola 5P23E-1 Roto-Tenna.   This is a creative little portable radio. Roto-Tenna is missing the left knob and right number face. Made c1959. The antenna is in the handle, and the handle rotates (hence, roto-tenna). There is no battery installed, and no battery corrosion. I love this little radio; so clever! Expected wear as this was obviously a well-loved, well-used portable radio. There are abrasions, paint transfers and two cracks on the plastic front, plus small cracks at the 11 o'clock position of the dial. The detachable cord plugs into the radio, and the outlet as designed-both ends. The on/off dial on the left is missing, but I turned the peg and it moved freely, but did not turn on. The dial on the right turns fine. The handle moves great. Needs cleaning. 10-1/4"W x 9"H x 3"D. Please contact us with any questions. We are selling several radios as is, and don't know much about them. We are happy to send additional photos and information. We accept PayPal. Please remit within seven days of sale. In addition to being knock-down gorgeous it, not unlike a person, has a couple of "unique" personality characteristics. Specifically, a rub spot (see picture) from too much polishing though the years and something I've never seen before: the decorative brass plate is a bit out of kilter. A rare radio to be sure. The brass plate is intact and the two rivets that hold it on the case are original. It appears to be a factory oversight. Electronically reconditioned and aligned with new paper and electrolytic capacitors, and all out of tolerance resistors were replaced. The six tubes are strong. Plays very good with external antenna for greater station sensitivity. On the Jim Dennis "Scale of Beauty" "She's Good Lookin' and She sure can Cook" Special! If you'd like additional pictures please let me know. 13-1/4"W x 7-3/4"H x 7-3/4"D.  Jim Dennis.   E-mail: jimdnns@gmail.com  $180.00.  (ends 11/23/2018)  (0000067)
Philco 52-940 Philco 52-940.   Brown Bakelite radio with a "Sunrise Dial." The sticker on the bottom is partial; shows model number, "Code 121," and more. The case looks outstanding. No cracks, chips or breaks. The dials are clear and attractive. The gold-tone fascia has some tarnishing, but looks good and straight. The great big arch is free of damage. Beautiful! Needs cleaning inside and out. When we plugged it in, it turned on. The dials both work fine w/left dial being very smooth; it turns the unit on & off. The right dial is a bit more firm, but it turns the radio station indicator just fine. There is a loud humming, and it wants to find a station, but can't quite find it. The lights do not come on. 13-1/4"W x 7-3/4"H x 7-3/4"D. We accept PayPal. Please remit within seven days of sale. Radio needs cleaning, and is sold "as-is." Please contact us with any questions; we're happy to send more photos and information. Prices do not include shipping or insurance. Radio will be securely packed, then shipped USPS or FedEx. Philco 54C Philco 54C.   Refinished at some point in the past, it looks like some veneer has been removed. It plays local stations with some squeal and pop so I'm sure it needs some capacitor attention at least.  Jeff Moreland.   E-mail: metroman97@gmail.com  $65.00.  (ends 11/23/2018)  (0000021)

RCA 66X1 RCA 66X1.   Stunning styling on this RCA radio. The Bakelite case is outstanding, with expected wear. There are a couple of small paint dots and the whole thing needs cleaning. The original grille looks very good with no tears. There's a funny little divot on the dial on the right; it looks like it was touched with a soldering iron. A small bit has unobtrusively chipped off the bottom left side. The pull-chain turns the unit on and off. Radio turns on with humming. Dial on the left moves. Dial in the center effectively moves the super-groovy "L-shaped" station indicator needle. The dial on the right has three positions: humming, louder humming, humming again. The cord is frayed. 15"W x 8-3/4"H x 7-1/4"D. We accept PayPal. Please remit within seven days of sale. Radio needs cleaning, and is sold "as-is." RCA Victor 3-RD-35 Clock Radio (About 1960) RCA Victor 3-RD-35 Clock Radio (About 1960).   This is a working five-tube clock radio from about 1960. It has been re-capped and has a full set of good tubes. The cabinet looks pretty nice. The only visible flaw is a crack on the very side of the clock cover. Looking at the unit head-on this is not seen (see pictures). The clock motor runs quietly. The radio is working well, but might benefit from just a little more tweaking on the alignment. The PC board has a bit of darkening around the 50C5 and 35W4 tubes, as is typical of PC board based sets of this time period. All in all, a decent tube type (five-tube) clock radio at an affordable price. This is well suited to a radio hobbyist who likes the styling and color of this unit. A cheater cord is included. Double-boxed shipping is an additional $25. This sounds expensive, but there is absolutely no profit being made on shipping. Properly packing and shipping a delicate and sometimes heavy item simply is not cheap. PayPal only, please. I'll be out of town until May 10 but I'll reply to e-mails as soon as I return.  Greg Plant.   E-mail: texasradiorestoration@gmail.com  $35.00.  (ends 11/23/2018)  (0000062)
RCA Victor 65-X2 RCA Victor 65-X2.   Ivory colored radio for sale. Art Deco numbers in white against a dark red background. Both dials look great and work. The left dial turns to the on and off positions, and badly controls volume. The right dial moves the tuning needle. The case is in very good condition: no cracks, notable scratches or breaks. There are just a few paint chips, but really very nice. Inside, in ink, "RC1034" and "B274" are stamped at the bottom. "273702" is stamped in ink inside-left. Then stamped into the metal: stylized "R" "451" "920322 501." I believe chassis 1034 is the 1st production run of the 65X2 Models. The cord looks like it's been replaced. Powers up, lights up and made me grin like a fool. There is static and squawking, but it did find some stations. 12"W x 7"H x 7"D. We accept PayPal. Please remit within seven days of sale. Radio needs cleaning, and is sold "as-is." Please contact us with any questions; we're happy to send more photos and information. Prices do not include shipping or insurance. RCA Victor 66BX "Globe Trotter" RCA Victor 66BX "Globe Trotter".   Globe Trotter portable radio with really cool integral dials. The display is protected by the rounded slide-down cover. Made of aircraft aluminum and Bakelite. The back opens for access; just a neat little 9-pound portable radio. Uses 9v & 90V batteries or AC power. Model number is stamped into the metal at the bottom by the feet. To open, one slides the feet like a suitcase. The left side is stiff. Needs cleaning; expected wear for an oft-used portable. Looks nice, and back cover has expected dents. Gold-tone dial on the left moves smoothly. Right side gold-tone dial moves more tightly, and moves the station indicator needle. The little rounded cover opens nicely. When we plugged it in, there was no response. 13-1/2"W x 10-1/2"H x 5-1/2"D. We accept PayPal. Please remit within seven days of sale. Radio needs cleaning, and is sold "as-is." Please contact us with any questions; we're happy to send more photos and information. Prices do not include shipping or insurance. RCA Victor 9X571 "Bullhorn" RCA Victor 9X571 "Bullhorn".   RC1079 "Bullhorn" maroon Bakelite radio (with wood-look facade) case is outstanding on four sides. The front has dents and scratches. Bullhorn is cracked at the 7-o'clock position on two rings, a scratch at 6-o'clock of the inner ring. A scratch or dirt at 5-o'clock on the outer ring. The rings feel solid and without chips. Even with the imperfections, this is a stunning radio! The left, rear dial is the on/off, and it holds those positions. The volume dial is at left, front and moves easily. The tuning dial is on the right side and moves well, as does the tuning needle. Due to the disintegrating cord, we did not plug it in. Inside the radio, boldly printed in ink: "RC1079" and "B274." 12-1/2"W x 10"H x 8-1/4"D. We accept PayPal. Please remit within seven days of sale. Radio needs cleaning, and is sold "as-is." RCA Victor A274 45rpm Turntable RCA Victor A274 45rpm Turntable.   Here's a cute little brown Bakelite turntable for sale. There are some scratches on top; no cracks or chips. There is electrical tape on the power cord, inside. The arm should rest on a post that is missing. It powers up quickly. The turntable turns, arm moves, and there is a stylus. The on/off dial on the right side moves easily into the on/off positions. The silver button on the front depresses and returns easily. There are no speakers but the wire is present. I don't have any 45s to play, so I haven't tested the player. Inside the unit is a sticker that is printed: "A274" and stamped, "010." The arm and turntable are made of a gold-toned plastic. The top of the turntable is a red vinyl-looking piece that seems permanently affixed. 9-1/4"W x 6-1/2"H x 6-3/4"D. We accept PayPal. Please remit within seven days of sale. Radio needs cleaning, and is sold "as-is." Please contact us with any questions; we're happy to send more photos and information. Prices do not include shipping or insurance. Silvertone 1908 Tombstone Silvertone 1908 Tombstone.   Looking to sell what appears to be a model 1908 Silvertone Radio. Can't say I know much about the radio but the box appears to be in decent condition, just needs a little TLC. The inners, well, I couldn't tell you. It does hum/buzz when you plug it in but I wasn't able to find any kind of signal using the dials. Looking for $100 on it, although I'm totally okay with offers for less and we can see from there. I'd love to know more about radios in general and about this in particular if anyone has any information they'd like to share. If you've got any tips for testing it or would like to see better photos feel free to message me and I'll do my best to accommodate.  Cody Barry.   E-mail: ctbarry97@gmail.com  $100.00 OBO.  (ends 10/26/2018)  (0000131)
Silvertone 3025 Clock Radio Silvertone 3025 Clock Radio.   Silvertone clock-radio, originally sold only at Sears, Roebuck & Co., c1953-55. I did a cursory cleaning; Bakelite cleans up so beautifully. There is label gum and a couple of small paint transfers/scratches. The case is mostly good, but dirty. Except for the bottom rear corner which has been broken off and taped back together. (There's a missing piece; the damage is hard to photograph.) There's also a crack below the bottom, right dial. When we plugged it in, it powered up. There was a short, faint hum, and a small vibration that the power was still on for the clock. The dial on the left moves, though not smoothly. There is no "on/off" position. The dial on the right moves great, and the arrow is really neat. 10-3/8"W x 8"H x 5"D. We accept PayPal. Please remit within seven days of sale. Radio needs cleaning, and is sold "as-is." Transistor Radio Lot of Three: Realtone TR-8611, Channel Master, Sony Clone Transistor Radio Lot of Three: Realtone TR-8611, Channel Master, Sony Clone.   SOLD!  You get all three radios listed below.

Realtone TR-8611 Constellation, fair condition. I don't see any cracks nor chips other than a couple small spots of something hot touching the radio on the corner. Metal front is dinged up and dirty and radio has scratches and scuffs, probably a parts set, untested condition (9V battery connector missing).

Realistic (Radio Shack) 12-171, tiny "clone" of the Sony ICR-200 radio; somewhat similar to the Sony right down to shape, size and knob placement. Fair shape couple cracks on bottom otherwise not too bad, maybe a parts set. I tried it with a 9v battery and it barely tuned in stations, controls very touchy will need repairs if you want to use it.

And a tiny Channel Master micro AM transistor radio.  $19.00.  (ends 11/23/2018)  (0000109)

Plays good with an extra hank of antenna wire for greater station sensitivity. On the Jim Dennis "Scale of Beauty" "Bel Air Hardtop" Special! Westinghouse H210L5 "Space Maker" Westinghouse H210L5 "Space Maker".   Beige and brown Space Maker c1966. I plugged it in for a few hours, set the clock and it kept time. The button on the top depresses fine. The clock dial on the front moves to all three positions: Auto, Off and On. It needs cleaning. The case looks terrific. No breaks or stains, but I found a 3/4" scratch above, and to the right, of the bottom-left dial. It powers up, and makes a very quiet humming. The second hand moves, the volume dial on the left moves, but does not make sound, and the station selector dial on the right moves freely (but did not find a station). 8-1/2"H x 7-1/4"W x 4-1/8"D. There is a large crack and it's missing a chunk of the case on the right side. The clock's top knob is missing, and I can't move the post. The knob at the 3-o'clock position moves stiffly. The knob at 6-o'clock is the on/off, and it goes into both positions. The knob at top center is the volume. The bottom center knob is the tuner. The tuner needle spins freely by hand. Humming seems to indicate power to the clock. Unit powers on. 11-3/4"W x 6-1/2"H x 5-1/2"D. We accept PayPal. Please remit within seven days of sale. Radio needs cleaning, and is sold "as-is." Please contact us with any questions; we're happy to send more photos and information. Prices do not include shipping or insurance. Radio will be securely packed, then shipped USPS or FedEx. We welcome your choice of carriers, otherwise we'll find the best price.  James Marx.   E-mail: JWMarx001@gmail.com  $40.00 OBO.  (ends 11/19/2018)  (0000147)
