Atwater Kent 30 (1926). This Atwater Kent is a 1920s battery radio, in good enough condition to be fully restorable. The cabinet needs to be reglued and would benefit from refinishing (a fairly easy job on this type of cabinet). The panel, knobs, and logo are in nice shape. Price includes all tubes; if you prefer it without tubes, you pay only $25. If you would like me to electrically restore this to like-new operation, I can do so for an additional $85. This type of radio needs separate A, B, and C batteries to operate. Buyer pays actual shipping cost (I will use Pirateship.com to minimize shipping cost for you). Tom Albrecht. E-mail: ctalbrecht@yahoo.com Phone: 408-425-1578 $75.00. (0000161)

Bendix 636D (1946). This light oak table radio proudly indicates that it was made by the Bendix Aviation Corporation. The light oak cabinet was refinished by a prior owner and looks pretty nice. The chassis was also previously restored and is in good working order. The nice reverse-painted dial really stands out. The original knobs are present, but have deformed a bit over the years. A replacement back was made by the prior owner. This radio has a factory phono input, selected by the center knob, which also serves as a tone control. Buyer to pay actual shipping cost (I will use Pirateship.com to keep shipping cost to a minimum). Tom Albrecht. E-mail: ctalbrecht@yahoo.com Phone: 408-425-1578 $90.00. (0000165)

Dumont RA 346 "Frame" (1956). So, I'm going through a warehouse with over 300 radios, making snap judgement calls. I paid $100 for this really cool little Dumont RA 346, not knowing that the red color is not original. I couldn't get myself to trash it, so I fixed it up in the hopes that some kind person would give it a home despite the outrage committed to it. The design of this radio is very interesting, almost like they planned for you to cut a hole in the wall and mount it in that, making it look like a picture frame. The little guy is actually a very good performer and picked up more stations in my metal shop than a lot of much more expensive radios. There is a little wear and tear on the red paint around the edges. One sold in 2006 for $135. It's really a very nice, rare little radio. 8-1/2"W x 7"H x 5"D. Mike Boessen. E-mail: mboessen@ktis.net $79.00. (0000060)

Emerson 695 (1952). There seems to be a trend toward small, economical table radios lately. In that vein, I popped for this cute Emerson 695 from 1952. There's nothing fancy about this little guy, but I think the style has a clean, attractive look to it. The sound isn't bad from the perfect 4-inch speaker. My usual thorough chassis restoration and full alignment produced a good receiver for local stations, with an antenna wire for more distance. There are three small dings on the top front edge of the otherwise very nice cabinet. I had to make three of the knobs. The clock and alarm work fine. All in all, a nice little radio that won't take up much space and won't break the bank. These topped out on the Radio Attic at $180 in 2019. I realize it has a few shortcomings and am pricing it accordingly. 9-1/2"W x 5-1/2"H x 5-1/2"D. Mike Boessen. E-mail: mboessen@ktis.net ON SALE - was $119.00, now $99.00. (0000062)

General Electric 410 (1951). Six-tube wood cabinet GE that has been gone through with new filter and paper caps, new line cord, strong tested set of tubes so that it receives all of my local stations with its built-in loop antenna. Or use the 3.5mm aux cord included at no extra cost to play your own content through the radio. Controls were cleaned and lubricated. The off-on switch works a bit hard but clicks on and off as it should. Cabinet finish is all original as is the grille cloth. There are various little nicks and dings on the cabinet consistent with 75 years of age, but it displays well. Too nice to refinish. Original back is present. A basic wood cabinet post war radio with nice graphics on the dial scale. 13-1/4"W x 9-1/4"H x 8"D. Greg Van Beek. E-mail: nostalgiaradiotime@yahoo.com $99.00. (0000226)

General Electric 7-2927A. A quick look at my radios will tell you this isn't my usual thing. A good friend gave me this GE transistor set with the dial stuck. I got that fixed, so here it is. This is not terribly old. I would guess late 80s? There is a date code: 3733 in the battery box if that helps. It is a very nice and very well made little radio. AM/FM/TVHI/TVLO. Reception is very good on FM, and not bad on AM. Large, easy to read dial, and pretty good sound for a "pocket" transistor. Fairly heavy. Battery included! 6"H x 3-1/2"W x 1-3/4"D. Mike Boessen. E-mail: mboessen@ktis.net ON SALE - was $49.00, now $29.00. (0000069)

Homemade Treasure Chest. This is a homemade radio using a 1939 RCA model 9TX21 chassis and I'm guessing an old jewelry box. No dial scale, just a window with the original RCA pointer underneath. The chassis has been restored with new capacitors and checked resistors. Plays well with a long wire antenna. 10"W x 7"H x 7"D with lid closed. Jeff Moreland. E-mail: metroman97@gmail.com $99.00. Magnavox OFMO18 (1958). You can see the influence of Mid Century design in this Magnavox AM/FM radio. Originally this had a paper veneer. At some point it was removed and stained. I thought about painting the cabinet and grille in a contrasting color. I will leave that up to the new owner. It is missing the back and there is a ding in the back top rim. Overall it is in good condition. It has strong clear AM reception but no FM. It is offered as is for restoration or to display and enjoy as is. 15"W x 9"H x 7-1/2"D. Mark Toppo. Philco Transistor Bookshelf Radio. Among many things I have "fallen heir" to is this cute little Philco branded transistor bookshelf radio. AM/FM with built in antennas. Sound is pretty good, and receiver sensitivity isn't bad. Runs on four "D" cells, included. Not sure who is the target audience for this, and no idea its value, but I guess I'll list it here and see what happens. Mike Boessen. E-mail: mboessen@ktis.net ON SALE - was $49.00, now $39.00. Radiola 18 (1928). Time for some shelf clearing. This radio is unrestored and is being sold "as is." The original finish is fairly nice and would probably present well with a little touch-up. Missing the volume bezel. Some tubes in it, no idea if they are good. Has a ziplock with parts labeled "Radiola 17 parts" inside (see photo). Very heavy (approximately 40 pounds. 27-1/2"W x 8"H x 9"D. Mike Boessen. E-mail: mboessen@ktis.net $25.00. (0000078)

Zenith 5K037 Farm Radio. This large Zenith battery-powered farm radio has a cool telescoping whip antenna. The chassis is complete and looks fully restorable. It requires special "A" and "B" batteries to operate. The cabinet is a bit dirty, and might benefit from refinishing. The original speaker is present and appears to be in good condition. Zenith 6G601M "Sailboat" (1941). Here is a classic Robert Budlong designed pre-WWII Zenith portable which would look great standing in any collection. Budlong was one of Zenith's classic designers. It is in very nice condition to be 95 years old. It is missing its small drop-down front partial cover, but has all its original parts and is still working and playing, turning in all my local AM stations. The reception is decent when tuned in to my stronger AM stations but could use a recap as there is quite a bit of scratchiness between stations. This model originally was available in five versions: 6G601D Blue and gray Airplane fabric; 6G601L Genuine Top Grain Cowhide; 6G601M Brown Airplane fabric; 6G601MH Brown and Ivory Airplane fabric 6G601ML Simulated Brown Alligator. This Zenith is an AC/DC battery operated portable six-tube BC band receiver. The BC band frequency tuning range is 540 to 1620kHz. This would be a nice focal point displayed in your collection since it would look like a vintage radio instead of a suitcase! It would also be an excellent parts candidate with all its original knobs, chassis, tubes, beautiful dial, sailboat fabric speaker cover, perfect handle, antenna and antenna connection strap. It has a good line cord. Shipping anywhere will be by the most reasonable method. 15"W x 10"H x 7"D. David Spivey. E-mail: wdspivey@outlook.com $72.00. (0000124)
