Who?

• Who advertises at VEC -- Anyone who has items to sell that are not allowed on the Radio Attic.  Anyone who does not have enough radios to open a page at the Radio Attic.  Anyone who is looking for a particular radio or needs help with restoration.
• Who is F.W.? -- F.W. is short for Friendly Webmaster.  That's me.  Click here to find out how friendly I am.
• Who do you think you are? --  No secret here.  My name is Steve Adams.  I've been collecting old radios since 1993 and helping others sell their radios on the Internet since 1996.
• Who can I get to fix my old radio? -- Not me!  I buy radios because they're pretty.  Check out the Radio Attic's Links page for restoration resources.
• Who programs this web site? -- I do.  Too cheap to get anyone else to do it for me.
• Who is your web host? -- InMotion Hosting

What?

• What's the goal of VEC? -- Simple.  To become the best place on the Internet to buy and sell vintage electronics!
• What happened to the Old Radio Classified (ORC) web site? -- It's been resurrected as THIS site!
• What does it cost to advertise at VEC? --  For-sale ads are free for 60 days, after which they may be renewed for 90 more days. Wanted ads are free.
• What does the symbol mean? -- It means that the radio it marks was published for sale within the last thirty days.
• What web publishing software do you use? -- Microsoft's FrontPage 2003.  Yeah, I'm a dinosaur. 
• What's your track record? -- Since VEC is brand new, we don't have one yet!  By participating in this new web site, traffic will increase, as should sales.
• What's the best way to photograph my radio? --  My photographer friend tells me to photograph in bright shade, against a neutral colored background close to the shade (darkness) of the radio.  Avoid brightly contrasting backgrounds.  I like to photograph slightly to the side and above the radio, but this really depends on the physical shape of the radio.
• What's my radio's model number? -- Please don't ask me that.  Look  for your radio at RadioGallery.  If it isn't there, then neither of us knows.

Why?

• Why is VEclassified a better web site than the Radio Attic? -- Ads are free; renewals are free until 2027.  There is no minimum number of ads you can post.  You can post ads for parts and other items that are not allowed at the Radio Attic.  You can post Wanted ads as well.
• Why is the Radio Attic a better web site than VEclassified? -- Ads are not free, but they are permanent; no renewals are needed.  You need a minimum of six radios to open a page, but the page is easily found and has its own URL.  You can have up to eight photos in your ads.  Everyone know about the Radio Attic; it gets lots of traffic.
• Why won't the seller return my e-mails? -- I. Don't. Know.
• Why can't I see a particular page on VEC? -- Because I made a coding error, usually.  Send me an e-mail with the guilty URL and I'll fix it.
• Why won't you tell me the value of my radio? --  Because I. Don't. Know. Please click here for more info.

• Where can I find contact information for a seller? -- There will be an email address and/or a phone number in the ad.
• Where are you located? -- In the Heart of Dixie: Shelby County, Alabama, stars falling all around us...  But I won't sell you my radios!
• Where are the radios located? -- Radios are located with the sellers. 
• Where can I find parts for old radios? -- Check out the Radio Attic's Links page.
• Where is your FaceBook page? -- Don't have one, but the Radio Attic does: https://www.facebook.com/OldRadioAttic
• Where is your Twitter page? -- Don't have one.  No one cares about anything I have to say.

When?

• When do new ads get published? -- New ads go "live" within 48 hours after receipt.  Usually more quickly.
• When will my ad expire? -- Initial for-sale ads run for 60 days.
• When will you stop doing this? -- When I'm dead, I guess.  I have a replacement webmaster selected already, so don't worry...
• Why is this question in the "When?" section? -- Just to see if you're paying attention.  Hey, I can be friendly and funny.

How?

• How friendly are you, really? --  I am REALLY friendly, really.
• How do I advertise on VEC? -- Just read my Terms and Conditions and send the appropriate form.
• How many radios can I advertise? -- As many as you want.
• How can I help to make VEC a success? -- (1) Tell your friends; (2) Visit often; (3) Tell your friends; (4) Link to VEclassified.com from your web site; (5) Tell your friends.
• How do I repair a radio? -- Your Friendly Webmaster is not a technician.  I buy radios because they're pretty.  I can replace components and test tubes, but that's about all.  If you ask me questions like this, I'll just feel bad because I can't help.
• How do you manage to do such a great job with this web site? -- Awww, shucks.
