Arvin 451TL (1950) Arvin 451TL (1950).   Five-tube Mid-Century Modern design featuring a Lucite dial scale ring that, when it is illuminated, looks stunning in a dark room with an almost 3D effect. The otherwise crack free cabinet had a piece broken out on the bottom side radius towards the rear that was a challenging repair, necessitating the cabinet to be painted. It was given a bright maroon enamel that accents the anodized gold trim nicely. It has been recapped, tubes tested strong, controls cleaned & lubricated, so it plays loud and clear across the dial with its built-in loop antenna, receiving all my local stations. Or use the 3.5mm aux cord to play your own content through the radio.  Greg Van Beek.   E-mail: nostalgiaradiotime@yahoo.com   ON SALE - was $129.00, now $109.00.  (0000132)
Arvin 760T (1953) Arvin 760T (1953).   Mid-century modern all white Arvin model. This six-tuber sports its original grille cloth and painted finish on a crack free cabinet. It still retains its shine after 73 years. There is one blemish area on the side where there was a 1 inch diameter smiley face sticker affixed. There was some minor paint loss incurred to remove it that was touched up with matching paint. Barely noticeable and does not detract. The chassis was completely recapped, controls cleaned and lubricated for smooth operation. An aux 3.5mm cord was attached at no extra cost for playing your own content through the radio. It receives all of my local stations with its built-in stick antenna. Has a variable tone control knob in the center. 14" W x 7-1/4" T x 7-1/2" D  Greg Van Beek.   E-mail: nostalgiaradiotime@yahoo.com   ON SALE - was $119.00, now $99.00.  (0000225)

Battery packs for 1950s portables Battery packs for 1950s portables.   Eveready/Energizer battery packs from a 1950's portable. No 276 and No. 479 (90 volts) Obviously dead but they have great graphics on the cardboard outer shells and are good candidates for re-stuffing with modern batteries. Shipping extra.  Greg Van Beek.   E-mail: nostalgiaradiotime@yahoo.com   ON SALE - was $20.00, now $15.00.  (0000136)

Clinton 818AS (1938) Clinton 818AS (1938).   (Wood tube table radio w/SW) This is a rare set shrouded in mystery. It appeared under several different brands, from General, to Lafayette, to Zephyr. It is basically the Clinton model 818SF with the addition of a bank of push button presets. Typical of Chicago "Plant A" sets. It has seven tubes + ballast and three bands. The strange thing is when I received the set, the push-button bank wasn't connected to anything, and there is no schematic showing this chassis with them! But it is a factory installation. I was able to hook it up but no guarantees you'll be able to set the trimmers. It's more for looks (plus it boosts the antenna signal). The chassis has been gone through with all new capacitors, NOS ballast, Rectifier, output tube and magic green eye tube, All others tested strong. It receives all of my local stations with its attached wire antenna connected to an external antenna source. Features a built in RCA jack and toggle switch for use with external audio devices for more options beyond AM radio (in lieu of my usual 3.5mm aux cord). The cabinet was completely refinished using multiple toners and topped with a spray of clear enamel for sheen and durability. The original dial cover is still clear but has a small 3/16" diameter hole in the upper corner that looks like it may have been put in at the factory to get the lens to conform to the bezel. 18"W x 10-1/2"H x 8-1/2"D.  Greg Van Beek.   E-mail: nostalgiaradiotime@yahoo.com  $299.00.  (0000241)

Esoteric sound professional restoration turntable deck phonograph (Rek-O-Kut, Technics) Esoteric sound professional restoration turntable deck phonograph (Rek-O-Kut, Technics).   SOLD!  The Esoteric Sound Professional Restoration Deck is a specialty multi-speed turntable built by Esoteric Sound for archiving, transferring, and restoring vintage records, 78s, and broadcast transcriptions. Built specifically for audio archivists, collectors, and hobbyists needing to play rare and non-standard record formats. This unit is in the same family as the high end Technics and Rek-O-Kut professional turntables. Unlike standard consumer turntables that only offer 33? and 45 RPM, this restoration deck also features multiple or continuous/extended speed options (including 78 RPM and specialized speeds for acoustic-era and broadcast discs 71.29 rpm, 76.59 rpm, 78.26 rpm and 80 rpm). Esoteric Sound (based in Illinois) paired these turntables with specialized vertical/lateral switches for Pathé/Edison records. Highly regarded by 78 RPM and transcription disc collectors who need precise speed control and accurate tracking of grooved vintage media. Comes with grounded audio cables, a separate headshell & cartridge for 78 rpm (the 33 & 45 microgroove headshell is installed) and two each extra new LP and 78rpm stylus. Unit is missing the dust cover. Plays and works like new. My only reason for selling is I upgraded to a 16" transcription capable deck. Was $450 new. Measures 16-12"W x 14-1/2"D x 3"H.  $200.00.  (0000233)

Gardiner Radio Solder Tin (1930s) Gardiner Radio Solder Tin (1930s).   Approx. 2" diameter metal tin from the 1930's with most of the original solder still inside. Great graphics on both sides of the tin. Nice display piece. Shipping extra.  Greg Van Beek.   E-mail: nostalgiaradiotime@yahoo.com   ON SALE - was $20.00, now $15.00.  (0000140)
General Electric 410 (1951) General Electric 410 (1951).   Six-tube wood cabinet GE that has been gone through with new filter and paper caps, new line cord, strong tested set of tubes so that it receives all of my local stations with its built-in loop antenna. Or use the 3.5mm aux cord included at no extra cost to play your own content through the radio. Controls were cleaned and lubricated. The off-on switch works a bit hard but clicks on and off as it should. Cabinet finish is all original as is the grille cloth. There are various little nicks and dings on the cabinet consistent with 75 years of age, but it displays well. Too nice to refinish. Original back is present. A basic wood cabinet post war radio with nice graphics on the dial scale. 13-1/4"W x 9-1/4"H x 8"D.  Greg Van Beek.   E-mail: nostalgiaradiotime@yahoo.com  $99.00.  (0000226)

Majestic 5A410A Coca Cola Cooler (1949) Majestic 5A410A Coca Cola Cooler (1949).   The 1949 Coca-Cola Cooler Radio was produced by Point-of-Purchase Displays Inc. in Chicago as an exclusive promotional in-store display for prime Coca-Cola retailers. Meaning these original tube radios (countless solid-state reproductions were made in the 1990's, with the tell-tale cassette tape player built in) are very scarce because they were not sold in retail outlets to the general public. They don't turn up very often. This example still has its original paint with only minor loss in small areas. Common to these, one of the side grill bars was broken out. A new one was carefully made and paint mixed to match the original color. It is barely noticeable. The five-tube chassis was completely recapped, controls cleaned and lubricated for smooth operation. An aux 3.5mm cord was attached at no extra cost for playing your own content through the radio. It receives all of my local stations with its built-in loop antenna. If you've always wanted an original tube powered Coke radio, here's a rare opportunity to acquire one. 12-1/2" W x 10" T x 8-1/2" D  Greg Van Beek.   E-mail: nostalgiaradiotime@yahoo.com   ON SALE - was $599.00, now $499.00.  (0000189)

Motorola W-58 (1934) Motorola W-58 (1934).   (wood tube tombstone radio w/Aux or BT) Rare early home receiver from Motorola. Five tubes with tone control, it is a good playing and sounding radio with its large 7-inch speaker. Receives my strong local stations with just the attached long wire extended (may need an external antenna source for more distant stations). It has been completely refinished using multiple shades of toner to highlight its Art Deco appeal and topped off with a spray of satin clear enamel for sheen and durability. The chassis was totally recapped, controls cleaned and lubricated for smooth operation. New tone control. Populated with a strong tested set of tubes. A nice compact tombstone that doesn't take up a lot of room but leaves a big impression! 3.5 mm aux cord added at no extra cost for more listening options. 15-1/2"H x 10-1/4"W x 10"D.  Greg Van Beek.   E-mail: nostalgiaradiotime@yahoo.com  $179.00.  (0000244)

Philco Dynamic Reproducer stylus (NOS) Philco Dynamic Reproducer stylus (NOS).   These were used on the 1946-48 Philco console radios like the 46-1209 and 47-1230 that used the high fidelity phonograph with the "Dynamic Reproducer." It was a special square ended stylus that only fits that cartridge. If a round shaft "needle" is inserted, it ruins the cartridge. These are very hard to find new in the blister pack! Shipping included within continental US.  Greg Van Beek.   E-mail: nostalgiaradiotime@yahoo.com   ON SALE - was $50.00, now $40.00.  (0000142)

The chassis has been recapped, tubes tested strong, controls cleaned & lubricated, so it plays loud and clear across the dial with its built-in loop antenna. 11-1/2"W x 7-1/2"H x 7"D.  Greg Van Beek.   E-mail: nostalgiaradiotime@yahoo.com   ON SALE - was $119.00, now $99.00.  (0000151)

This cabinet design was used from 1949 to 1953, and since the label on the bottom of the cabinet is stamped 1952, I think it's safe to call this one a 1952 model. This five-tube set, despite designed with only one IF transformer, plays well, receiving all of my local stations with its built-in loop antenna, or use the attached 3.5mm cord installed at no extra cost for playing your own content.
